GICA Needs YOU!

Who We Are:

The Gulf Intracoastal Waterway impacts far more people than those whose jobs or companies directly depend on it. The diversity of our membership reflects that. You'll find manufacturers, port authorities, terminals, navigation districts, utilities, chambers of commerce, city governments, drainage districts, legal firms, banks, suppliers, distributors, shipyards, carriers and others - all members who value GICA and what it does for them.We hold an Annual Convention each fall. These meetings present a great opportunity for learning, and facilitate the sharing of information between the many diverse member groups represented as well as interacting with GIWW stakeholders and partners from other associations and Federal and state governments.

Why You Should Join:

Keeping our waterways safe and navigable benefits everyone by minimizing the cost of goods, and reducing pollution. The Gulf Intracoastal Waterway is the third busiest of all our inland waterways, and is a major contributor to our nation's economy. Threats to the existence of the Waterway, however, are very real.GICA is the only association addressing the majority of issues affecting the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. No other group duplicates this function. For the Waterway to remain a viable transportation artery, it must be promoted and protected continuously. With strong membership, the GICA delivers a credible voice to state and federal agencies on issues involving the Waterway and its dependent industries.

GICA Needs You:

Our responsibilities are numerous and growing. GICA depends upon dues from its members to staff this growing list of initiatives and projects - none of which anyone would want to see abandoned. Healthy membership is critical to the future of this Association, and that of the Waterway itself. As you consider your decision, ask yourself where your business would be without the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
